"Teaching Practices that Turn Standards into Learning"

High quality standards are necessary, but not sufficient, to support high levels of mathematics learning for each and every student. Teaching matters! In this session, we’ll examine eight research-informed teaching practices that effectively support students’ development of conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and productive habits of mind to prepare them for their futures.  We’ll also discuss the most productive steps to incorporate these practices into your instruction.
